This post is a little dated, in that these pictures are from March's Bridal Fair at Provo High, but I wanted to add these photos to the collection.

Flower of the Week: Bells of Ireland
Common Name: Bells of Ireland
Botanical Name: Molucella laevis
Type of flower: Line flower
Common Colors: Green
Why you should love Bells of Ireland: How many green flowers are there? Not tons. This unique flower is a summer-blooming annual that makes for great use in fresh or dried arrangements. The line flower is great for adding height and length in arrangements. But beware: this flower is geotrophic, meaning it bends with response to earth's gravity. A beautiful flower and great to work with. Another warning: when this flower gets older, it develops sharp spikes on it's blooms. Keep careful watch not to get pricked!

Back to Basics
This blog is meant to more than a place for past or potential clientele to view pricing information, portfolio pieces and pretty pictures. I designed this site to be a reference point for those interested in learning more about flowers as well. But, I have been short on time lately - this little one has been taking most of it.
However, I will begin, again, posting a "flower of the week" for your information and enjoyment. Stay posted. This week's flower will be listed tomorrow.
Check back in December
for wedding number 3 of the season. With a bridal party of nearly 30, this is sure to be an exciting event. Congrats to Tiffany on your upcoming big day. See you December 20th.
